Philosophy of Education:
My name is Rosalie Samperi, I have been teaching Early Childhood Education since 1990. This will be my 15 year as the Kindergarten Teacher and Early Childhood Coordinator at St. Clare Assisi Catholic School. Teaching Kindergarteners how to read and write is truly my passion. Giving these young students their first start is truly exciting and I am so thankful to be part of something that I enjoy doing.
I obtained my certification in Early Childhood from the National Center of Montessori Education and American Montessori Institute. I have served as an Instructor for the center of NCME and presenter for other organizations. I have been a mentor and team coordinator to other early childhood teachers for more then 20 years.
I strongly believe the environment of a classroom is important for our students to learn. I firmly believe in a calm peaceful learning environment. Children have the right to enter into a classroom where their environment is prepared for them and they can feel loved. I want my students to know that when they return to school each day they feel safe, loved and there is joy to come back to each day to learn.
“Teaching at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic School has given me such a blessing in my career as a teacher. It is such a great experience as an educator to come to school every day and share the Good News of God’s love to these precious children that attend here. My passion completely shines through this ministry because of this peaceful and lovely environment that has been created here at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic School between students, staff, and parents.
Message to Parents:
I welcome parents to participate in the education of their child by joining me in every opportunity in their child’s daily school life as possible. Together we will form their early childhood years through communication and with prayer. I will ensure that your child will have the best possible kindergarten experience they can experience and be successful while enjoying and having fun learning.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with what we are learning during the day in class. I may be reached at: rosalie.samperi@stclarehouston.org
Extracurricular Activities:
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband and my 3 grandchildren. We love taking the kids to the park and to berry farms to pick strawberries and blueberries. They are the joy of our lives and every chance we have we like to spend time with them. I do like to read my bible and I love to cook and bake for my family. I am Italian, so big Sunday dinners after mass and on holidays has always been a tradition. I collect cookbooks where I have received many delicious recipes. Our family has our own Italian cookbook of recipes handed down from generations. My favorite dish to make is my homemade spaghetti sauce. A big family Italian tradition made with lots of love.
